One Hour Lab vs. Professional Lab

Yes, I’m preaching it again.  It does not cost that much to use a professional lab!  This is the reason why you should NOT use a one-hour lab.  This image is from Costco.  Please take into consideration, this is a picture of pictures.  But, you can obviously see the difference here.  The contrast and color is terrible with the Costco print.  Why?  What’s the reasoning?  Professional Labs are just that… highly trained professionals that look at each image before printing and make sure that is perfect.  They have a trained eye on what to look for.  Their machines are regularly calibrated and maintained.  They use a higher quality, archival type of paper.  Please do yourself a huge favor, use a professional lab.  Your photos will look awesome.  Your photographer will love you.  And, everyone will be happy.  There’s my two cents.  Happy September Everyone!!!   ProLab

Payson Temple {Utah Photographer}

Today I had the honor and privilege of attending and photographing the filling of the cornerstone box for the Payson Temple.  I’ve always loved history.  I’ve always felt connected to my ancestors and their lives.  Today, I felt a connection to my future posterity.  I know… weird.  🙂  As I was standing in the temple today, witnessing a simple, yet profound event to me… I was overcome with emotion and gratitude.  Heavenly Father loves me.  I am imperfect.  I don’t always make the best decisions.  I’ve done plenty of things in the past that I regret.  Yet, without a doubt I know He loves me and that I matter to Him.  The calling to be an official photographer for the Payson Temple Open House and Dedication has been something I’ll never forget and I will cherish the memories and moments always.  Sending a big thank you to my Heavenly Father for believing in me and trusting me to do this.  It’s been profound for me.  I love to see the Temple.   2015-06-05_0024 2015-06-05_0025

The photos below are from the press and media day at the temple.  What an honor to participate in this historical event.  These photos are in a special book that was placed in the cornerstone today.  Oh my heart. <3
